Why don't you do a policy review with your insurance agent? I suggest to you that it's fear. You fear that the agent is going to sell you something that you don't need, don't want. Consequently what you need to do is leave the agent that is causing this trepidation. (Just kidding) You see, if you really feared your agent then that would mean they don't have your best interest at heart, and I would doubt that is the case? Moreover if I ask you, do you have confidence in your insurance agent, you probably would say yes. Consequently, I have to come to the conclusion that your trepidation is unmerited. What are the advantages of doing a policy review?
1. They help you make informed, conscious decisions, meaning decisions that you make before a loss.
2. Do I have the right coverage on my home?
3. Is the lot cost in my home coverage?
4. Why is my home insured for more than I could sell it for?
5. Do I have all the discounts I should be getting?
6. Are there any options that I may want that I am currently not taking advantage of?
7. Are there any options that I am being charge for that I don’t need?
8. Do you need umbrella policy?
9. How much life insurance do I have?
10. How much life insurance do I have at work?
11. If I die will my family have enough life insurance?
12. Do I have the right auto coverage’s?
13.Does my auto policy cover me if I am sued?
Making knowledgeable conscious decision means that at the time of loss, you and your loved ones and the people that depend on you are left with good, decisions. I cannot encourage you enough to spend 30 or 40 minutes going over what is covered or isn't covered on your policy with your agent, and I'll go one better. Even if I am not your agent, I would be happy to meet with you to go over your coverage’s. No obligation, you don't need you to switch. I will go over with you what is covered, what is not covered, how the policy works, and help you coordinate your policy with what you have at work. To help you and your family make good, conscious decisions.
